Thanks again for looking over and I hope you like the recent pics from Nisha & Rav’s pre wedding festivities. Last few weeks have been quite busy with summer trips, work and initiation of new projects. As you might notice, the website has been redesigned and I have been spending a lot of time getting it setup. Whenever I start a new project, I always end up opening unanticipated issues and problems. Sometimes I like to call these problems challenges as you always learn something new and I enjoy the feeling of relief when you solve them. For all my clients, your pictures will now be posted in the “clients” section. From there you will be able to make purchases of your professional prints in varying sizes. Let me know if you have any issues in term of ordering products or if you like to see additional product choices.

Well now on to the more interesting stuff, I have known Nisha chech mostly through all the dances she choreographed for my cousins’ weddings. She’s a talented dancer and from what I can gather a fashionista as well 🙂 From then on we have been good friends and I was really humbled and excited when she asked me if I could take pics of her pre-wed events. This was my first time meeting Rav and all I could think was the Top Gear show with his British accent 🙂 Well I am really happy that they found each other and I wish them all the best in their married life! This was my first time attending a Mehndi party and I was looking forward to taking pics of intricate designs.  For those who are not familiar with Mehndi, you can think of it as a temporary tattoo made from henna or head over to wikipedia where you can gather all the historical info. Nisha + Rav are such a cute couple and I had a great time taking their pics. Plus who doesn’t love British accent?  With Rav, his friends and family around I felt that I was in the wrong continent. Anyways, I hope you enjoy these shots and I will post their Sangeet and Kacha ceremony at a later date. Additional pics will be posted on facebook as well on google plus; also don’t forget to check the slideshow at the end 🙂

So yesterday I decided to some pictures at Hines Park. This place definitely looks a lot different in the winter compared to the summer and the activities also change based on the time of the season.  It was a sunny but definitely a cold day. The open area by the lake made the winds a lot stronger and a lot colder.

I am not sure of the species of this plant but every season it changes colors and I decided to keep a track of its color over the course of the year.

Some of the remaining plants still trying to thrive in this cold weather.

A view of the frozen lake.

I have seen pictures of people ice fishing, I always thought of it happening at up north or somewhere besides southeast MI. This man was dedicated as he even had a tent setup to help with his catch. I don’t think he really cares for the sign either.

Some more views of the frozen lake.

This has to be one of my fav pic from yesterday.

This house/office faces the river rouge and I believe it opens during the summer.

I am not sure if its a brick made out something else besides clay/concrete mix. It almost felt like a metal.

These branches remind me of certain centerpieces that I have seen at wedding receptions.

I can’t wait for the warm weather to come soon 🙂
