With the end of the year approaching and no assignments scheduled, I assumed there were no more events to be captured. Well this changed when Aaron asked me to do his senior portraits. This was my first senior portrait session but it was no different than the rest. We all want great pictures whether it be senior portraits, a birthday party or an engagement session. So I was really glad that I was able to do this when I was in MI visiting my family. Together we had a blast taking different shots. Most of our shots were taken in Hines Park and some shots were taken at the Central campus at the University of Michigan.

I hope you have enjoyed the few pics that I have shared. Hopefully, you had a chance to take a look at Aaron’s slideshow to see the rest of the shots. For all who are considering senior portraits or any other special moment in your life please contact me, and I hope to get the same results as you see here 🙂  You can also head over and be a FAN on my facebook page to keep current with the rest of the feeds 🙂

It’s always a joy to read your thoughts and comments. Thanks again for checking back, and perhaps I will be back with more posts.

So yesterday I decided to some pictures at Hines Park. This place definitely looks a lot different in the winter compared to the summer and the activities also change based on the time of the season.  It was a sunny but definitely a cold day. The open area by the lake made the winds a lot stronger and a lot colder.

I am not sure of the species of this plant but every season it changes colors and I decided to keep a track of its color over the course of the year.

Some of the remaining plants still trying to thrive in this cold weather.

A view of the frozen lake.

I have seen pictures of people ice fishing, I always thought of it happening at up north or somewhere besides southeast MI. This man was dedicated as he even had a tent setup to help with his catch. I don’t think he really cares for the sign either.

Some more views of the frozen lake.

This has to be one of my fav pic from yesterday.

This house/office faces the river rouge and I believe it opens during the summer.

I am not sure if its a brick made out something else besides clay/concrete mix. It almost felt like a metal.

These branches remind me of certain centerpieces that I have seen at wedding receptions.

I can’t wait for the warm weather to come soon 🙂
